Forestdale Suburb Guide

Forestdale is an acreage suburb in Logan City, previously part of Browns Plains which is why they share the same postcode. The original developer chose the name due to the lack of tree clearance compared to surrounding suburbs and you might notice that the streets have been named following a particular theme of someone who was said to reside in a forest too… Robin Hood and his Merry Men!

There is a big community spirit within this prestigious neighbourhood, with an active neighbourhood watch, a bush care group, Facebook page for community announcements and annual get togethers to celebrate special occasions such as their impressive display of Christmas lights.

You will find an abundance of bike ways and paths weaving through the streets and nature reserves to help you explore this nature rich suburb. Parks dotted around for family play and a wetland area called Greenwood Lakes with boardwalks and viewing platform also add to the areas tranquil feel.

As you enter the estate, a small row of shops will help keep you supplied with the essentials, while you can choose to drive ten minutes out from Forestdale in either direction to reach major shopping precincts, restaurants and a broad selection of schools, making it an ideal location to reside.
